Bethenny Frankel Sells Multi-Million Dollar Condo In Just One Day

The Real Housewife of New York gets $6.95M for her Tribeca loft.

You don’t have to be a Real Housewife of New York (or as the cool kids say, ‘RHONY’) fan to know all about Bethenny Frankel. She seems to invite media attention and controversy as readily as Bravo can franchise the Housewives brand. Her line of Skinnygirl margaritas may not be your thing, but she made a not-so-small fortune in 2011 when she sold her the low-cal adult beverages to Beam Global, a mammoth company who owns such brands as Jim Beam and Makers Mark. After the sale she did what any red-blooded-reality-TV star would do… she bought a huge loft in Tribeca for $5 million.

Ms. Frankel lived there with her daughter and then hubby, Jason Hoppy for a very short time before the couple filed for divorce. But she was there long enough to sink $500,00 into a huge renovation—which she filmed for TV—obviously. The split was messy at best, and at worst, devastating to Ms. Frankel who finally decided to get rid of the place altogether. Maybe it was the bad memories? Maybe it was so she could get yet another spin-off and name it, “Bethenny’s Movin’ On”? That’s just an idea for Bravo, (contact my agent if you’re interested) but never-mind, let’s take a look at the 36,00 square feet that Ms. Frankel is leaving behind.

The apartment is a corner unit and boasts four bedrooms and three bathrooms but can easily be changed into a five bedroom so there’s one for each of the housewives in case of a reunion sleep-over extravaganza.

The polished nickel entrance hallway leads to a living area and dining room with columns that light up in case you get lost on your way to the white lacquered cabinets that line the kitchen.

Once you get there you can get a buzz on with a built-in espresso machine or from the contents of the huge wine fridge that holds over 180 bottles of Skinnygirl booze. So you can drink all you want and not gain an ounce.

The large master bedroom features a massive amount of storage and a walk-in dressing area with a wall made entirely of closets that would make Carrie Bradshaw jealous. The bathroom has spa-like features so you don’t have to go to Canyon Ranch to get your steam facials on. The office has no windows and the listing says it can be turned into a fifth bedroom where surely the Countess Luann would be banished.

But the last laugh would be on Bethenny as Luann would take advantage of the manual solar shades that are spread throughout the apartment.

The ceilings are over 11 feet high, which is great if all the RHONY ladies gather in one room, so there’ll be enough space for all those egos. There’s 24-hour doorman so if things get crazy he can come up to play bouncer or maybe pour Romona some Chardonnay. There’s a stunning roof deck with Hudson River views that will come in handy if you need to throw someone’s cell phone or engagement ring in it.

Bethenny (or more like Bravo’s people) got Bravo star Fredrik Eklund of Million Dollar Listing New York to market the property. It was on the market for literally one day before he sold it. He bragged via Instagram (where else?) that, “I sold @bethennyfrankel’s Tribeca loft at 195 Hudson at FULL ASK of $6.95M in just ONE DAY. Congrats, love.”

When Ms. Frankel spoke to the Wall Street Journal on the sale she shared, “I’m glad that the real estate gods were looking out for me saying, ‘let’s give her a break.’” Ms. Frankel seems to keep getting breaks but it’s hard to dislike her because she’s the underdog that keeps bouncing back. As if that wasn’t enough to root for her, she also just adopted some super cute lhasa apso pups.  Aw.
